Jane Skipp (Jayne Barber) trained in Applied Arts, as a metalsmith, but has in recent years returned to her first love; fabric. She inherited her joy of fabric and stitch from a long line of makers; including great aunts who were Court dressmakers. Combining these skills and interests, with her playfulness with words. She has created stories and illustrations.  Inspired by her work in nature conservation, her first project in 2016 was for a book on the lifecycle of a dragonfly.
She has since completed the illustrations and text for three further books. She has one book in print.
